Rebecca Dixon is the daughter of hard-working mill workers and farmers. As she was growing up, her mother was the sole source of income. As a result, Ms. Dixon learned at an early age the effects of unemployment, underemployment, and underpayment of wages on individuals and their families. The desire to help people who were in these situations was birthed, and Ms. Dixon worked toward achieving these goals by working her way through college and law school.
Ms. Dixon began her legal career in the United States Air Force in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate. As a former military service member, Ms. Dixon understands the needs and concerns of members being deployed and those who remain in the States to support their country. Ms. Dixon further understands the employment needs of military members as they are discharged from military service and transition to resume civilian life. Ms. Dixon provides employment assistance to reservists who experience challenges in the workplace in taking leave to provide their military service through regular or reservist duty.
Following her honorable discharge from the military, Ms. Dixon continued the pursuit of her legal career. She has worked on both plaintiffs’ and defendants’ cases and is able to represent a corporation, company, or individual in either capacity.
The Law Office of Rebecca Dixon was founded in 2011 to aid workers in their employment situations and to provide guardian ad litem legal services to children through the Orange County Bar Legal Aid Services. Ms. Dixon's involvement in the community as a guardian ad litem furthered her commitment to assuring that the best interests and constitutional rights of individuals and children were protected through caring counsel.
In addition to providing representation regarding military discrimination in employment, Rebecca Dixon Law provides representation concerning employment discrimination based on pregnancy, race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. Ms. Dixon also provides representation for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act violations, foreclosure defense, probate, guardianship, private guardian ad litem services, real estate, leases, homeowners association defense, personal injuries, wrongful death, and more.
Ms. Dixon provides aggressive legal services in a confidential and discrete manner and looks forward to the opportunity to consult with you concerning your legal needs.
